Court Lundberg
I grew a one-truck operation into one of Northern Utah’s most trusted home service companies by hiring well, training hard, and doing the job right the first time.

From a bison farm to a Utah home service company
I grew up on a bison farm. If you have never been around them, a full-grown bison can clear six feet from a standing start. One weak spot in a fence and they are gone, and getting them back is a nightmare. You learn fast that one small mistake turns into a catastrophe.
Plumbing is the same. One failed crimp ring, one shortcut behind a wall, and a family pays for it later. That lesson became the whole standard for how I build Rare Breed. We do it right the first time, or we do it again on our dime.
I came up through the trade the long way, starting at twelve dollars an hour and learning the business one hard year at a time. The company carried the Lundberg name for years. Letting that go and rebranding to Rare Breed was a real pride hurdle for me, but a name has to mean something to the customer, not just to me.
“Good enough is never good enough. The service we sell isn’t a service at all, it’s people. If I can’t attract, keep, and train good plumbers, I’m nothing.”
That belief runs the company. I would rather take someone who knows nothing about plumbing and build them into a Rare Breed plumber than hire bad habits. I price so my plumbers can earn a real living and buy a house, because a tradesperson who is taken care of takes care of your home.
A few things I will not compromise on
The standards behind every job, every hire, and every quote we give a homeowner.
Right the first time
No shortcuts, no corners. A camera goes down the sewer before anyone talks about a repair, so a homeowner never pays for work they do not need.
Build the next generation
The trade has an aging workforce and a bad habit of underpaying skill. I train plumbers from the ground up and pay so the job is a career, not a stepping stone.
Honesty over the upsell
I have seen homeowners quoted tens of thousands for sewer work they did not need. We tell people the truth, even when the truth costs us the bigger ticket.
The receipts
Independent records and recognition, not self-applied labels. Each is linked to its source.
